A German court released an alleged Israeli agent Friday suspected of links to the January killing of a Hamas leader, in a discreet end to a case that threatened to sour bilateral ties.

A Polish court is to decide Wednesday whether to hand over to Germany an Israeli suspected of being a Mossad agent linked to the January killing of a Hamas chief, despite Israel’s calls for him to go home.
