Polish match called off at Euro 2012 venue amid safety concerns

Poland’s National Stadium in Warsaw, a key venue for this summer’s Euro 2012 games, is not ready to host a Polish match this month due to safety concerns, the city’s officials said on Friday.

The venue is not ready for the Polish SuperCup match on February 11, which officials said was an event of ‘heightened risk.’

Two bitter rivals were to play at the game - Wisla Krakow and Legia Warsaw – who included rowdy fans on both sides.
